About Julia

I call the Central Coast of California my home. As long as I can remember, I have turned to making artwork to feel observant, grounded, and connected to nature. I am so honored that my artwork is held dear to someones heart and hangs in their home.

I am deeply influenced by nature, landscape and the beauty of the Creator. I am interested in the smallest details of petals and leaves, the dramatic ridge of mountains, and colors that create fields of moods, memory and experience. I see natural beauty and I glorify it through impression and abstraction. I am always reflecting on our journey here, what we see in the natural world, and how it takes hold in a fleeting moment or a memory. I like to explore abstract themes of nature, land, material and texture, beauty, memory and spirituality.

I believe art is an experience and abstraction opens a door. I hope the pieces I create are meaningful to the owner and feel approachable to new collectors.
